It
(When We Are)?
Brendan was forced
to spend entire hours locked in an air conditioned room with nothing to
eat but delicious gourmet deli products and sparkling pure water until
he finished playing all the instruments he could think of and was finally
allowed to leave. Then I had to go over and record vocals all by
myself, which is like a quick descent into hell, until I had no idea how
many tracks I’d even put down, and somebody came over and said “Stop already.”
Do not try this at home. But we had fun with the background vocals.
According to
my vet, when a reptile has an emergency medical problem, if you can save
its life in the middle of the night, you can also wait until the next day,
since they have such slow metabolisms. However, the opposite is true
for birds, who hide their rapidly developing symptoms so well that you
actually have to travel backwards in time to save them! If such time
travel were possible, then we could be visiting ourselves from the future
to make sure we eat well and get enough rest so that we ourselves don’t
croak before then, which would make all our visits to today impossible.
You could also go forward in time to find out how much you will really
regrett wearing those pale blue bell bottom pants in public.
